I just completed week two of the 21 Day Fix Extreme and I even surprised myself!! I have never, in my life, worked out 14 days straight! Especially not burning 200-300 calories in 30 minutes for so many days straight! That in itself is an accomplishment!
At the end of week two, I am at 139lbs and I started at 145lbs! I lost 4 lbs the first week and 2 lbs the second week. I have also lost an inch off of my waist, an inch off of each arm, an inch off of each thigh, but actually gained an inch in my hips. So I would say that is a total of 4 inches lost in 2 weeks.
I can also feel that I am stronger, more flexible, and have better balance. I can get through the workouts easier and do not have to modify AS much. I still have to modify though, but the first week I was the modifying queen, modifying even more than the modifier!
Week two was easier to get through than week one because week one got me in the habit of working out everyday. I also did most of my research on food week one and figured out what works for me and my family.
I had to move my workouts to evenings because I have just been too busy during the day. My son goes to sleep at 7:30PM so I drink a pre-workout drink and then workout at 8PM. I’m done by 8:30PM, shower, and lay in bed for awhile until I’m ready to sleep.
I’m taking a pre-workout now because I usually just don’t have the energy to work out after a long day. But the pre-workout drink has really helped me a ton, is only 5 calories and doesn’t count as a container! And by the time I’m done with my workout all of that extra energy is just about gone and I sleep just fine. This is the pre-workout powder I use.
I also previously mentioned that I’m not drinking Shakeology, but I found an alternative that is not as pricey. You can check that out here. So far this is the best alternative I have found, please let me know if you know of any other good ones! You can use this one as a replacement for all of the Shakeology recipes too!
