The Best, Healthy Grilled Lamb Shish Kebab Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground lamb
  • 1/4 cup onion (red or white) diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, stir together all of the ingredients except the lamb.

  2. Add the lamb to the mixture and mix until everything is well combined.

  3. Divide the meat into either 8 or 16 pieces of meat, depending on if you want one large piece on your lamb kabobs or two smaller pieces of lamb meat on your lamb skewers. For the best results, I recommend dividing them in to two sections.

  4. Mold each section of meat around a skewer. If you want two pieces, separate them 1-2 inches apart.

  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and oil the grill grate lightly (you can also use a grill pan on your stovetop or an indoor grill). Place the skewers on the hot grill and cook for 3 minutes. Flip and cook forĀ 3-5 more minutes.

  6. You can eat them just like this, or you can serve with a side of tzatziki sauce.
